Not having painted a Reaper miniature for such a very long time (almost 20 years) I have seen they have come a long way with their dynamic poses and the detail of their miniatures. A client wanted to have the Dryad painted up to a High Quality.
The miniature itself comes in several parts, where the branches and the sword arm are separate for packaging purposes. putting it together was relatively simple. There was not much flashing and the separate pieces did not need a whole lot of green stuff to ensure a smooth connection.
I kept the colour scheme simple; a dried out tree with autumn coloured leaves and grass, a human skin coloured dryad melting out of the tree with a green coloured blade (representing spring and new life) glowing in her hand.
